WHY LEDs?
Light Emitting Diodes are the cutting of edge of current lighting technology.
They are simple to understand and can easily be made into functional and beautiful arrays.
LEDs use very small amounts of electricity and are vital in movings towards a low-energy future.
They use 10 to 15 times less energy than an old-style filament bulb.
LEDs use less than a tenth the energy of halogen spotlights you may have in your kitchen.
They use half the energy of a modern low-energy bulb and contain no mercury.
LEDs last at least 50,000 hours - up to ten times as long as low-energy bulbs.
