Tree Sculptures

In 2010 we returned to the Croissant Neuf Summer Party in the Welsh Borders.  This is regularly awarded the 'Greenest' festival award, and rightly so.  No generators, just solar & wind power.  Local produce and real beer.  So relaxed its almost horizontal.  Possibly my favourite festival for LEDfantastic to run our workshops - less than 1000 people but it seems every one of them comes along & takes part.

So, ten minutes before we're about to open, one of the organisers sheepishly approaches with the rusted remains of two 'flower' lights that are meant to be illuminating the forest glade on the hill fort (told you it was a special festival...).  Can we fix it?  Yes we can!  We rebuild the lights in record time... brighter, more beautiful and vastly more energy-efficient. 
Suffice to say we'll be building them some more this summer....
